Full Job Description

We are looking for a part-time 20+ hours remote Payroll Specialist/ Bookkeeper.

Payroll Responsibilities:

Processing and setting up payroll and time tracking in multiple apps
Calculating timecards per job, overtime, breaks
Processing payrolls and submitting payroll taxes for multiple clients.
Preparing and reconciling quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
Calculating and setting up paid time off accruals
Calculating health insurance contributions, 401k contributions and employer contributions

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process through account reconciliation.
Verify that transactions are recorded correctly to the Trial Balance Stage.
Process accounts receivable/payable and enter payroll in a timely manner.
Review Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement and Statement of Cash Flows for accuracy.

Skills:

Proven GAAP bookkeeping experience and Electronic Audit Evidence procedures.
Solid understanding of Debit/Credits and accounting payable/receivable principles and cycles.
Proven ability to calculate, and reference source documents for accounting figures.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets: creating sums, sorting by date, amount, pivot tables, changing file types and more.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
AS or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Property Management and Point of Sale experience is ideal.
Communicate work scheduling and time management.
Experience working with multiple clients in multiple industries is ideal.
