Sales Representative – Manufacturing Software (Costimator®)

MTI Systems, Inc. | West Springfield, MA (On-site) | Full-Time

Every job shop, OEM, and fabricator in America quotes work every single day. Most of them do it with spreadsheets, gut feel, and their best estimator's memory. When that estimate is wrong, they either lose the job or win it at a loss.

MTI Systems built Costimator® to fix that. For more than 40 years, manufacturers have used our estimating software to quote faster, quote more accurately, and protect their margins — over 1,600 companies and counting. It is one of the most trusted names in the industry, and there is still a huge population of shops out there doing it the hard way.

We're looking for a Sales Representative to reach them. This is a consultative, value-based sale to people who will tell you exactly what's broken if you know how to ask. If you like solving real operational problems, talking to smart technical people, and getting paid for closing — keep reading.

What You'll Do

● Own a pipeline of manufacturing prospects — job shops, OEMs, contract manufacturers, and fabricators across the U.S. and internationally

● Work inbound leads from a recognized brand and hunt new opportunities on your own

● Run consultative discovery calls and software demonstrations that uncover real cost and quoting pain

● Build relationships at every level, from the estimator on the shop floor to the owner signing the check

● Quantify and present ROI — show a prospect what their current estimating process is costing them

● Lead pricing and value conversations with confidence, and close

● Keep a disciplined pipeline in CRM (Zoho), Excel, and Word

● Attend weekly sales meetings with the team

● Travel occasionally to visit prospects and represent MTI at industry trade shows

What You Bring

● 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling into manufacturing or another technical environment

● A documented track record of closing — quota attainment, deals won, revenue produced

● Working familiarity with machining, fabrication, or assembly processes (you don't need to run a CNC, but you should know what one does)

● Comfort talking dollars and cents with business owners and executives

● Experience with CRM platforms; Zoho, Excel, and exposure to ERP systems are a plus

● Strong written and verbal English; additional languages are a real asset given our international reach

● Coachability and curiosity — you take input, you ask questions, you get better
