Join a Mission That Matters: Become a START Program Director at Line of Hope START!

Location: Westside LA Schedule: Full-time | Includes rotating on-call availability (24/7 support)| Leadership Support- No Remote Work

We are looking for a Clinical Director to join our team. This position provides full-time clinical oversight and supervision to clinical team and therapeutic support services, responsible for Clinical Education Team Meetings, provides consultation to community providers/psychologists, provides training to build capacity in the system, provides back-up on-call support

Required Qualifications:

Preferred: Ph.D. in psychology and licensed by the state’s/province’s Psychology Board
Candidates with a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related behavioral health field are also encouraged to apply, provided they hold a current professional license in their jurisdiction and possess substantial experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Acceptable licenses may include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or other equivalent clinical mental health credentials.
Extensive experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), specifically with people who have IDD and behavioral health needs. Experience developing and implementing positive behavior support plans preferred.
Must be a certified coordinator or can complete the START Coordinator certification process within 3-6 months of hiring.

What You'll Do:

Clinical Supervision
Provide clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Lead(s) and Therapeutic Coach Team Lead(s)
Provide group clinical supervision to the Clinical Coordinators
Take active clinical leadership role in team meetings
Internal Team Clinical Consult
Work with the Medical Director to provide weekly clinical consult to Coordinators/Team Leads on START recipients with complex presentations
Support TLs and Coordinators in review of records. Review/interpret psychological evaluations and reports
Provide oversight and consultation on positive support and interaction strategies
Review START related documentation and provide clinical input
Provide training on clinical topics to team
Assist START Coordinators with preparation for START Coordinator certification
Therapeutic Supports
Develop trauma informed positive support and interaction plans as necessary for guests at the resource center who require more extensive safety measures
Participate in discussion regarding potential resource center admissions
Provide on-site observation and clinical consultation as needed for persons receiving START therapeutic supports
Community
Work collaboratively with the Director on developing community relationships and linkages
Support Coordinators, as needed, in team meetings and systems work in the community
Provide training and consultation to families and community providers and partners
Plan and facilitate monthly Clinical Education Team
Administrative
Enter, monitor and ensure data entry for all team members in the START Information Reporting System. Use data to inform programmatic decision-making
