Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Orthopedic scribe with experience to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians/PA and staff to accurately document patient encounters, ensuring precise and comprehensive medical records. This role is vital in streamlining clinical workflows, enhancing patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare documentation standards. Prior experience in medical office settings or emergency rooms is a plus, but we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medical documentation and healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

Transcribe detailed notes during patient examinations and procedures in real-time using EMR/EHR systems(ECW A STRONG PLUS)
Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
Assist healthcare providers by managing and updating electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) efficiently(ECW A STRONG PLUS)
Ensure all medical documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Support physicians in managing clinical workflows by preparing documentation ahead of appointments when necessary
Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately capture clinical details
Adapt quickly to various clinical environments, including emergency room settings when required

Skills

Proficiency in transcription and medical documentation with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with EMR ECW (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and human anatomy to ensure accurate recordkeeping
Excellent typing skills for real-time documentation during patient encounters
Prior experience in a medical office or emergency room environment is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
