Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Manufacturing / Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced factory environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with assembly lines, and the ability to motivate a team to achieve operational excellence.

This role will oversee manufacturing personnel, production scheduling, process improvement, training, and performance management while partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, and Customer Experience.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings a solution-oriented, continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
Coordinate and oversee assembly line operations, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
Manage warehouse activities such as inventory control, material handling with forklifts, and shipping/receiving processes
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections to maintain a secure working environment for all team members
Train and mentor production staff on equipment operation, assembly procedures, and proper use of hand and power tools
Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure machinery is operating optimally
Monitor production metrics, prepare reports, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality standards

Experience

Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment in a supervisory role
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
Warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is highly desirable
Familiarity with factory safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of production workers
Prior experience with assembly lines, manufacturing processes, and inventory management systems is preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred
5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
Experience leading teams in a production environment
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
Experience in assembly, packaging, custom manufacturing, or related industries
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Experience with KPIs, production metrics, and labor planning
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
ERP/MRP experience preferred. SOP development, process documentation, and structured operating systems (EOS/Traction a plus)
Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence
