Full Job Description

Join a National Commercial General Contractor

Precision Contractors has been delivering commercial construction projects nationwide since 2005. We specialize in new construction, tenant improvements, remodels, and conversions for retail, restaurant, healthcare, office, industrial, and hospitality clients.

We’re seeking a motivated Project Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing projects, building relationships with subcontractors, developing competitive estimates, and helping win work across the country.

What You’ll Do

Prepare conceptual budgets, estimates, and client proposals
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents
Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews
Develop bid packages and solicit subcontractor pricing
Identify required trades and right size potential bidders to project
Level and qualify subcontractor bids
Identify value engineering opportunities
Coordinate RFIs during the estimating process
Assist with permitting, scheduling, and project planning
Maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships nationwide
Complete the due diligence and secure permits in varying jurisdictions
Maintain national vendor, and subcontractor database
Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and Project Management to help win projects

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
2–7 years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience
Understanding of commercial construction methods and project delivery
Experience estimating ground-up and tenant improvement projects
Strong knowledge of Excel and construction estimating software
Experience with MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe, Building Connected,
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
