Full Job Description

Experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of being reliable, positive, and enjoy making a difference in the lives of others. Seeking a friendly and patient personality that is highly organized, motivated to make every experience with patients one of a kind, and enhance each unique patient experience.

Position is flexible and can be either part-time or full-time. Pay is subject to negotiation based on experience!

Sterilization of all dental and medical instruments
Daily set up and organization of instruments needed for procedures
Capture diagnostic radiographs
Administer topical anesthesia to patients
Placing fillings
Placing Patients on N20
Assisting with In House Sedation
Scanning patients for Appliances
Review of patient health history
Organization and sterilization of the operatories
Assisting the dentist chairside
Using Dentrix to update patient records and update Clinical Note
Complete appointments with empathy and compassion for parents and patients
Understands and Follow OSHA Protocols to Ensure Compliance with State and Federal Laws
Front Desk Admin Experience
Basic Understanding of Reviewing Eligibility
Strong Phone Demeanor
Ability to Confidently Schedule Patient Procedures

Summary

As an EDDA Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will be integral to providing high-quality dental care to children, reporting directly to the lead dentist. Your role will involve chairside assisting, utilizing your knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, and ensuring a safe, aseptic environment. With your EFDA certification, you will assist in various treatments, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Your proficiency in EMR systems and familiarity with X-ray procedures will enhance patient care and streamline operations, making you a vital member of our pediatric dental team dedicated to fostering a positive experience for young patients.

Reliable transportation is desired because additional training may take place in our Springs or Monument location but this is not a deal breaker!

Qualifications

EFDA Certification required
Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology
Experience with pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry
Knowledge of dental software such as Dentrix and Dolphin
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medical imaging
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Ability to perform vital signs monitoring and X-ray procedures
Willingness to Assist in the Front as Needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
