Full Job Description

Paradise Dynasty is one of the brands under Paradise Group. Paradise Group houses a total of 11 culinary concepts across 9 countries, serving customers at close to 50 restaurants in Singapore and more than 60 restaurants worldwide.

Paradise Dynasty is looking for a Wok Chef to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently for our Glendale location.

Pay: Base $19 - $24/hour + Tips = Estimated $22 - $27.70/hour

Responsibilities

Set up of all ingredients for wok, grill and sauté menu items according to station par prior to beginning of service.
Prepare all wok menu items to recipe specification safely, and efficiently. Wash, cut, measure, prepare food for cooking.
Handle different types of stir-frying including dry stir-fry, moist stir-fry, and simple stir-fry.
Food items are placed in the window and are at their peak temperature and appearance.
Responsible for teamwork with other stations, inter-station timing and communication.
Complying with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Wok Chef in Chinese/Cantonese restaurants or high-volume restaurants.
Possess strong culinary skills in both hot and cold preparations.
Communication and leadership skills to be able to lead, direct and develop culinary associates.
Skills in understanding food costs, scheduling, purchasing, labor cost control, presentation, food safety and sanitation, essential.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
