QUALITY CONTROL AND CLOSING SPECIALIST – JOB # 38-26

All correspondence must refer to a specific job number.

The Loan Quality Control Specialist is responsible for reviewing commercial and consumer loans to ensure they adhere to the bank’s loan policy and procedures and returning those that do not for corrective action in a timely manner. Scan and organize all real estate and non-real estate loan documents to the core system. Review lien releases. Additionally, this position is responsible for engaging appraisal and title services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review internally prepared loan documents per procedures, for accuracy prior to releasing them for loan closings.
Review all booked and funded loans after indexing to ensure that the loan remains compliant with lending policies and federal regulations after leaving the original QC process. Should an error be found, the Quality Control Specialist is responsible for getting with the proper staff to resolve the error and document the post-QC checklist accordingly.
Review closing disclosures, releases, and other documents according to procedures.
Index all loan documentation and other items as requested to Synergy in the proper cabinets.
Responsible for engaging appraisal and title services

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with projects as assigned.
Review other Loan Operations output for accuracy as requested by the Loan Processing Supervisor and Loan Operations Manager.
All other duties and projects necessary to support the goals and objectives of the Loan Operations department.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
3-years banking, loan support, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Abilities: Must be detail-oriented, organized, proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.), have a strong understanding of loan documentation, lien perfection, insurance and escrow requirements, and bank software systems. Excellent communication skills with all levels of bank personnel.
