Full Job Description

Ivy Kids Early Learning Center in League City cares for Infants through Pre-Kindergarten and after school age children. Prior childcare experience is required.

By creating and maintaining a strong relationship between home and school, the new skills your child will develop will soon become second nature.

Administrative Assistant performs administrative and office support duties for Director and Education Director. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, touring prospective families, admissions, accounts receivables, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, filing, etc. Administrative Assistants facilitate the efficient operation of the school.

Administrative Assistant must maintain positive supportive relationships with staff, children, and parents. Administrative Assistant reports to the Director and/or Education Director.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience working with children in a childcare setting and 3+ years in an administrative or office support role.

Skills & Qualities:

Strong organization, multitasking, and customer service abilities.
Comfortable with childcare management software (Procare, Intellikid), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and social media (Facebook, Instagram).
Warm, professional communicator with parents, staff, and children.
Flexible and proactive — ready to step in where needed.
Qualified or willing to become qualified to drive the program vehicle.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend/stoop, and move quickly to support classroom needs.
Commitment to ongoing professional development (minimum 24 training hours annually).
