Full Job Description

About us

Supple-Merrill & Driscoll, Inc. is an independent insurance agency and brokerage that has been in operation since 1923. We handle, personal insurance, business insurance, contractor bonding and Worker’s Compensation. The Personal Lines Assistant will provide administrative and service support to our licensed Personal Lines Account Manager.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to our Personal Lines Department and Account Manager.
Answer phones and assist clients with general service needs.
Enter and maintain accurate client information in our agency management system.
Prepare and organize documents and client files.
Assist Account Managers with renewals, follow-ups, and day-to-day account servicing, such as, endorsement requests, billing, etc.
Communicate with clients and insurance companies as needed.
Follow up on outstanding information and assigned tasks.
Learn our agency systems, procedures, and Personal Lines insurance products.
Work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and good problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with accuracy.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to learn new systems and procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, professional, and willing to learn.
Previous insurance or office experience is a plus, but not required.
California Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred, but not required.
Must be willing to obtain a California Property & Casualty license.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
