Pay Rate: $75,000 - $105,000 DOE

Position Overview:

MP Design Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and plumbing systems for education, municipal, and commercial projects. Qualified candidates can independently take a mechanical design project from Schematic Design (SD) through Issued for Construction (IFC), including producing the drawings in either AutoCAD or Revit. This role is ideal for an engineer who wants real project ownership and involvement from design through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete HVAC design, including:
- HVAC load calculations and equipment selections
- HVAC equipment schedules
- Ductwork layout and design
Complete plumbing design, including:
- Sanitary sewer systems
- Domestic water systems
- Roof drainage systems
- Natural gas systems
- Fire protection systems
Preparation of Division 21, 22, and 23 specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years of building systems (HVAC/plumbing) design experience
Proficiency in Revit (preferred) and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, and building codes
Strong communication and organizational skills
PE license preferred (or on track)
