United Staffing Associates is seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to join our Paso Robles office of temporary and direct hire recruiters. This full-desk staffing role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives on solving difficult searches, building strong relationships, and connecting exceptional talent with outstanding employers.
We're looking for a sales-focused individual who approaches recruiting with curiosity, persistence, and creativity. The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of finding candidates others can't, developing client relationships, and representing both candidates and client companies with professionalism and credibility.
What You'll Do
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will serve as a recruiter and job order fulfillment specialist for temporary and direct hire opportunities across a variety of industries and position levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for temporary and direct-hire positions ranging from entry-level to senior-level roles, across business functions
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates while making independent hiring recommendations
- Develop recruiting strategies and alternative sourcing plans to fill challenging positions
- Create and manage job postings across multiple recruiting platforms
- Utilize online databases, networking, referrals, internet sourcing tools, and direct outreach to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct candidate interviews and assess experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and client companies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional service and timely fulfillment of hiring needs
- Partner with clients to understand workforce needs and provide recruiting solutions
- Assist with business development activities, including identifying opportunities and supporting sales efforts
- Conduct regular visits to client locations to strengthen relationships, evaluate hiring needs, support workforce initiatives, and maintain a strong understanding of client operations
- Attend job fairs, networking events, and other recruiting activities within the service area
- Address employee relations matters and workplace concerns involving temporary employees
- Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and recruiting best practices

- Experience using recruiting databases, applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, and other sourcing tools
- Professional presence and consultative approach to client service
- Self-directed with strong judgment, initiative, and follow-through
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of progressively responsible business experience with recruiting and selection responsibilities
- Direct hire recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Experience within staffing, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related industry strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- This position requires regular travel to client sites, branch locations, job fairs, networking events, and other business-related destinations throughout the service area. A valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Work Environment & Schedule
Staffing is a people-driven business, and priorities can shift quickly. This role requires flexibility and responsiveness to client and candidate needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional hours when business demands arise. Overtime should be expected when required to meet business needs.

Compensation and Benefits
- $75,000 - $100,000 per year
