Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Production Chef to join our high-volume catering kitchen. This role is essential to the success of our culinary operation, ensuring each item prepared meets the highest standards of consistency, quality, and presentation. Working across hot foods, cold foods, and hors d’oeuvres, you’ll bring precision and efficiency to every step of the production process.

What You’ll Do

Production & Recipe Execution

Set up workstations with ingredients, tools, and equipment before beginning prep
Prepare ingredients and execute recipes as written for consistent results across departments
Utilize a variety of techniques including sautéing, roasting, braising, steaming, cold prep, and hors d’oeuvre assembly
Taste and inspect food to ensure flavor, texture, and presentation meet company standards
Properly store, chill, or hot-hold food to maintain safety and freshness
Follow portioning guidelines to minimize waste and support cost controls
Occasionally assist at off-site events to maintain product integrity and consistency

Efficiency & Workflow Management

Work with urgency to meet daily production quotas and event timelines
Keep your station clean, organized, and safe throughout your shift
Communicate any issues with production, inventory, or recipes to your supervisor
Pitch in across departments as needed to keep production on track

Food Safety & Sanitation

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen control protocols
Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and internal standards
Monitor food temperatures and storage conditions
Immediately report any safety or quality concerns

Teamwork & Professionalism

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to foster a positive, respectful work environment
Show up on time, act professionally, and stay committed to continuous improvement
Embrace training opportunities and adapt to support different production areas
Represent our company values in everything you do

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious dishes.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Experience in inventory management is beneficial but not required.
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions precisely
Maintain speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in refrigerated environments
Maintain a positive, team-oriented mindset under pressure
