What You’ll Do
- Lead the opening and growth of a new childcare center
- Oversee daily center operations
- Build and develop a strong teaching team
- Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality teachers
- Create a positive, accountable team culture
- Ensure licensing and compliance standards are consistently met
- Build relationships with families and the local community
- Support enrollment growth and family retention
- Manage scheduling, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, high-functioning learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership experience in a childcare or preschool setting
- Strong understanding of licensing and compliance requirements
- Organized, confident decision-maker
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment and adapt as the center grows
- Passion for creating a high-quality early childhood experience
Qualifications (Arkansas Requirements)
Must be 21+ and meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s in Early Childhood (or related field)
- OR Bachelor’s + 4+ years experience or CDA
- OR Associate’s + 6+ years experience
- OR 8+ years experience + willingness to obtain credential
Preferred
- Previous Center Director or Assistant Director experience
- Already meets Arkansas Director requirements
- Experience building teams, improving enrollment, or opening a new program
- Proven ability to create a strong workplace culture
