Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk! Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Schedule appointments, coordinate patient flow, and handle phone communication with professionalism and courtesy
Collect and review medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Assist with medical billing and collections, including understanding health insurance processes like Medicare and Medicaid, and managing electronic claims submission
Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and other medical coding tasks to support billing and care plans
Support clinical staff by managing electronic health records (EHR) management, updating patient information, and ensuring proper documentation of care plans
Handle administrative tasks such as typing reports, managing office supplies, and supporting overall clinic operations with Microsoft Office tools

Requirements

Prior experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in electronic health records management is essential
Familiarity with medical billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), Medicare processes, and health insurance knowledge
Excellent customer service skills with phone etiquette and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Strong computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office applications, and electronic health records management software
Ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and health information management
Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology is required to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
