About Bouwen

Bouwen provides legal, tax, and accounting services exclusively for British companies doing business in the United States. We serve over 100 British companies, operating in industries ranging from heavy equipment and consumer goods to medical devices, software, and business services.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented tax professional to join our team as a part-time independent contractor. This fully remote role involves approximately 10 hours per month of work, with flexible scheduling. The role centers on preparing U.S. corporate tax returns—particularly Forms 1120 and 1120-F—using Intuit ProConnect. Experience handling foreign-owned U.S. corporations is essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal corporate income tax returns (Forms 1120 and 1120-F) using Intuit ProConnect
Handle extension filings and related calculations
Review client financial data and ensure proper treatment of cross-border transactions
Communicate with clients and internal team members as needed to gather supporting documentation or clarify information
Ensure compliance with applicable IRS rules for foreign-owned U.S. corporations

Qualifications

Extensive experience preparing Forms 1120 and 1120-F
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. tax compliance for foreign-owned entities
Proficiency with Intuit ProConnect required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
CPA or EA preferred, but not required

Compensation

$60 to $70 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
