Full Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist on 1st Shift!

1st Shift: 7:30AM-4PM

Pay Rate: $25-$32/HR

Location: Pennsauken, NJ

Temp - Direct Hire

Job Description:

Program CNC machines using CAM software
Set up and operate multiple CNC machines
Assist operators with machine setup and operation
Review drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine machining requirements
Determine dimensions, tolerances, tooling, setup methods, and operation sequences
Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment
Set and verify machine offsets and machining parameters
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related measuring equipment
Verify completed parts meet dimensional and tolerance requirements
Adjust programs, tooling, and machine settings to correct machining issues
Troubleshoot setup, tooling, machine, and dimensional problems
Document inspection results, production information, and machining changes
Support milling, multi-axis machining, and horizontal boring operations as required
Maintain CNC machines, tooling, fixtures, and work areas
Follow established machining, inspection, and safety procedures

Requirements

3–5 years of CNC machining experience
Experience operating multiple types of CNC machines
Experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation
Proficiency with CAM software
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sample parts
Knowledge of machining dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements
Experience inspecting finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, kneel, and climb as required
Ability to use required personal protective equipment

Preferred Skills

CNC milling experience
Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
Experience producing custom or high-precision parts
Experience with manual machining or other manufacturing equipment
Experience with large horizontal boring mills
Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, feeds, speeds, and workholding methods
Experience performing first-piece and in-process inspections
