Full Job Description

Buyer | $70/hr and only onsite three days a week?

Most industrial buyers spend their days chasing approvals, updating spreadsheets, and rarely seeing how their work impacts operations.

This role is different.

You'll support power generation facilities where the equipment, materials, and services you procure directly impact plant reliability, outage execution, and day-to-day operations. You'll work closely with plant leadership, operations teams, suppliers, and sourcing professionals to keep critical projects moving and ensure facilities have what they need when they need it.

Even better, this role offers a hybrid schedule with only three days onsite each week and the opportunity to visit multiple local facilities rather than being tied to a single location every day.

What you'll do:

Convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders for materials and services supporting power generation operations
Identify suppliers, conduct RFQs, evaluate pricing, and select the best sources of supply
Partner with plant stakeholders to understand project schedules, outage timelines, and operational priorities
Manage supplier communications, delivery schedules, acknowledgements, and issue resolution
Support outage and project-based procurement activities by tracking milestones and mitigating supply risks
Maintain pricing agreements, blanket orders, and procurement documentation
Collaborate with strategic sourcing teams to leverage existing agreements and identify savings opportunities
Support supplier onboarding, qualification, performance tracking, and invoice resolution

Who you are:

You're the person who understands that procurement isn't just paperwork. You know how a delayed delivery can impact a project schedule, an outage, or plant operations. You enjoy solving problems, building supplier relationships, and keeping multiple priorities moving at once.

You likely have experience supporting power generation, industrial manufacturing, energy, or other complex operational environments where reliability and timing matter.
