About Our Practice

The Center for Psychological Health & Wellness is an established, growing group practice in Shillington, Pennsylvania, serving individuals, children, couples, and families across the greater Berks County area. Our team provides evidence-based care for anxiety, depression, childhood behavioral concerns, couples and family conflict, and individuals navigating difficult life transitions.

In addition to our clinical services, our practice serves Pennsylvania courts in forensic psychology matters — including custody evaluations, reunification therapy, cooperative parenting training, and expert witness testimony. This area of practice is central to our identity and our future direction.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a fully licensed, doctoral-level psychologist to join our team in a primary clinical capacity, absorbing the individual therapy caseload currently carried by our founder. Our clients are accustomed to PhD-level care and the clinical depth that comes with it. This is not a role for someone early in their career — we are looking for a clinician who is confident, grounded, and ready to walk alongside clients who are often navigating complex emotional, relational, or family-system challenges.

Over time, and as the right professional relationship develops, there is a meaningful opportunity to be introduced to forensic evaluation and court-involved psychological work under direct mentorship from Dr. Ramsbottom. This is not an immediate expectation — it is a genuine career development opportunity for the right person.

Primary Responsibilities

Carry an assigned individual therapy caseload across adult, adolescent, and child modalities (ages 3 and older)
Work collaboratively with the existing clinical team
Maintain timely, accurate documentation consistent with licensing and practice standards
Participate in team meetings and collegial consultation
Over time, support court-involved cases under the direct mentorship and supervision of Dr. Ramsbottom

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania license as a Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) — full licensure only; no provisional or associate licenses
Demonstrated clinical experience across the lifespan, including children ages 3 and older
Strong working knowledge of family systems, attachment theory, and developmental frameworks
Excellent written communication skills — clear, precise documentation is essential
Professional demeanor and ethical grounding consistent with APA standards

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or graduate training in forensic psychology, child custody matters, or court-involved family systems
Familiarity with high-conflict family dynamics and parental alienation
Background in psychological assessment or structured evaluation methodology
Prior experience in a group practice setting
