Full Job Description

Digital Marketing Assistant

Weisshouse is a longstanding Pittsburgh destination for home furnishings and interior design. For more than 70 years, we have built our reputation through distinctive products, design expertise, and personal service.

The Position

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to support our in-house marketing efforts. This hands-on role includes website merchandising, social media, email marketing, print advertising, photography, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and self-motivated, with strong visual and writing skills. This person will work closely with our interior design, sales, and operations teams to maintain a consistent Weisshouse brand across all marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Website & E-Commerce

Maintain products, inventory, descriptions, and images on Shopify
Create and update listings on third-party marketplaces, including 1stDibs
Update website banners, featured products, and seasonal content

Social Media & Email

Assist with creating and scheduling social media Posts, Stories, Reels, and promotions
Write captions, create graphics, and monitor messages and daily engagement
Help create two to four Mailchimp email campaigns each month
Maintain subscriber lists and review campaign performance

Advertising & Content

Maintain advertising calendar, facilitating print ads with local publications
Support seasonal campaigns across print, email, social media, and the website
Photograph products, showroom displays, and installations as needed
Gather, edit, and organize vendor and in-house photography

Reporting & Outreach

Compile basic website, email, social media, and digital advertising performance
Assist with Google Ad updates and monitoring
Provide occasional marketing-related administrative support

Qualifications

Zero to two years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or a related field
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
Proficiency with Google Workspace applications
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
An eye for design and an interest in interiors, architecture, furniture, and design

Preferred Skills

Graphic design experience
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator
Photography and basic photo-editing skills
Experience with Shopify, Mailchimp
Familiarity with Google Ads and Meta Business Suite

Job Details

Job type: Full-time, in person
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Compensation: Starting at $36,000 - $40,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
