The Role:

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Merchandiser who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in managing inventory, designing impactful visual displays, and working directly with clients to create a seamless shopping experience.

This is not your typical merchandising role — it’s a blend of:

Social Media & Online Sales Development

The Role:

We’re seeking a highly skilled Tailor/Dressmaker to join our production team. You will work on a wide range of garments — from wedding dresses and designer suits to denim repairs and custom creations — all while upholding SewRob’s standards of precision and quality.

This is a hands-on, deadline-driven position that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for the craft of sewing.

What We’re Looking For:

Professional sewing experience with diverse garments (bridal gowns, suits, denim, etc.)
Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern manipulation
Expertise in working with high-end fabrics and designer pieces
Meticulous attention to detail — the ability to replicate original designs while preserving fabric integrity
Adaptability to SewRob’s exacting standards
Commitment to deadlines and efficient production workflow
Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Essential Skills & Equipment Proficiency:

Must be confident using both industrial and home sewing machines:

Straight Stitch
Blind Hem
Coverstitch
Purl Stitch

Hand-Sewing Expertise:

Precise hand-sewing techniques for fine couture garments
Ability to perform hand-pricking on suiting and delicate fabrics
Skilled in operations where machine sewing isn’t possible

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):

Custom garment creation
Draping and pattern making
Leather, fur, or specialty fabric experience
Embellishment and beading work

Key Responsibilities:

Execute complex alterations on a wide variety of garments
Preserve the integrity of original designs while achieving perfect fit
Apply pattern manipulation to solve fit challenges
Perform detailed hand-sewing and finishing techniques
Meet strict deadlines while maintaining SewRob’s quality standards
Collaborate with the production team and fittings staff to ensure client satisfaction
Participate in occasional client fittings for technical consultations
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Adapt to seasonal shifts in workload and assist in other departments when necessary

Position Details:

Full-Time Preferred: 35–40 hours/week
Part-Time Considered: With the goal of transitioning to full-time
Store Hours:
- Mon–Fri: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sat: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Some Saturdays may be required)
Production-Driven Environment: Must be comfortable working under deadlines
