In this role, you won’t just manage work, you’ll own client relationships, lead sophisticated tax engagements, mentor developing staff, and contribute to the continued growth and diversification of our tax practice. This is a hands-on, in-office position for someone who values collaboration, direct client connection, and the opportunity to build something long-term across multiple industries.

We’re growing with intention, and for the right person, this role offers a clear path to increased leadership, influence, and potential future ownership. For candidates with deeper experience and a strong track record of client and team leadership, this position may be filled at the Senior Manager level.

What You’ll Do

Take ownership of key client relationships and lead the delivery of accurate, timely, high‑quality tax services.
Sign-off on federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S‑corps, corporations, and complex pass‑through entities.
Interpret GAAP financial statements and identify meaningful tax implications, planning opportunities, and advisory insights.
Guide clients through strategic tax planning using a proactive, year‑round advisory approach.
Support junior tax team members and promoting technical growth and strong client‑service habits.
Manage communication with tax authorities, including audits, notices, and correspondence.
Collaborate closely with accounting and assurance teams to align tax strategies with financial reporting and client goals.
Build trusted, lasting client relationships through clear, proactive communication and exceptional service.
Contribute to firmwide initiatives, process improvements, and service‑line development, especially in construction specialization and future leadership pathways.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA required
Minimum 6 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax.
Experience working with construction clients (general contractors, subcontractors, developers, or specialty trades), preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP, federal and multi‑state tax regulations, and industry‑specific tax considerations.
Proven ability to manage complex client engagements independently and confidently.
Leadership qualities, including the desire to mentor staff and grow into a larger leadership role within the firm.
Excellent communication skills and a genuinely client‑focused mindset.
A desire for long‑term stability, growth, and future ownership opportunities within a close‑knit firm.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in an in‑office environment.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons.
