TAX MANAGER

Randall L. Sansom CPA, PA, a mid-size tax & accounting firm located in Gulf Breeze, FL, provides tax, accounting, financial statement and business advisory services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. We are currently seeking a dedicated team player with 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead tax engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts and estates
Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including research, projections, planning, compliance, consulting and financial statement preparation
Supervise and train tax staff and evaluate their work
Prepare correspondence for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities
Build new and existing client relationships while demonstrating knowledge of client business

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting
3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities including significant supervisory experience
CPA certification preferred, but not required
Experience preparing individual, business, non-profit, trust and estate tax returns
Knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws with the ability to remain abreast of tax regulations and trends
Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and tax software proficiency (CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx software proficiency is a plus)
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships
