Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their eyewear needs and ensuring their satisfaction. This position requires a strong knowledge of optical products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit and comfort - Educate customers on lens options, frames, and lens treatments - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed - Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments - Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns Experience: - Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role is preferred - Knowledge of laboratory procedures for lens fabrication and repair - Familiarity with medical records, medical billing, and insurance claims related to optical services - Strong sales skills with the ability to recommend appropriate eyewear based on customer needs - Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and sales transactions - Understanding of ophthalmology terminology and procedures is a plus - Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes is beneficial - Experience in retail sales or retail management is desirable If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for providing exceptional customer service in the field of optometry, we encourage you to apply.
