Construction Project Manager

Location: Peoria, Illinois

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Operations

Compensation: Base + Uncapped Commission ($100,000+ On-Target Earnings)

About Us

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple concurrent projects from planning through completion. This role blends traditional project management expertise with hands-on construction management knowledge, requiring someone who can keep budgets on track, job sites running smoothly, and timelines firmly on schedule — all while juggling several projects at once.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Manage full project lifecycles for multiple construction jobs simultaneously, from pre-construction planning through closeout
Develop, track, and maintain project budgets; identify and address cost overruns proactively
Oversee job site operations, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and code standards
Hire, coordinate, and manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors
Create and manage material lists; handle ordering, delivery scheduling, and inventory to prevent delays
Build and maintain detailed project schedules; enforce strict timelines across all active projects
Serve as primary point of contact for contractors and providing regular progress updates
Identify potential risks or delays early and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and safety regulations
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in project management, with direct experience in construction management
Proven track record managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and job site operations
Experience coordinating and managing contractors and vendor relationships
Excellent organizational, budgeting, and time-management skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites
