Production Planner / Coordinator

Sports Collectible/Trading Card Products | Full-Time, On-Site

About the Role

We’re a growing sports collectible company looking for a Production Planner/Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and scale our physical product manufacturing. You’ll own production schedules, forecast current and upcoming projects, track all resources and materials, and build the processes that let us grow without sacrificing quality.

The most important part of this role is thinking ahead. We need someone who can see several steps into the future—anticipating what materials are needed, what’s coming next in the pipeline, and where gaps or conflicts will emerge—so production keeps moving without downtime or filler work. If the team is ever standing around waiting because something wasn’t planned for, that’s a problem this role exists to prevent.

This is a hands-on role in a small team of 12. You’ll work alongside our Operations Manager, who runs the floor day-to-day, while you stay focused on what’s ahead.

What You’ll Do

Plan several steps ahead across all product lines—always know what’s in production now, what’s next, and what’s coming after that.
Build and manage production schedules that keep the team continuously productive with no gaps, downtime, or unnecessary filler work.
Forecast timelines and resource needs for current and future projects so materials, supplies, and labor are ready before they’re needed.
Track all materials, supplies, and resources across every project—know what we have, what’s on order, what’s running low, and what’s needed next.
Monitor material usage rates and reorder points to prevent stockouts or production delays.
Coordinate with suppliers on orders, lead times, and delivery schedules to keep materials flowing ahead of demand.
Sequence projects strategically so that when one phase wraps up, the next is already staged and ready to go.
Create a project checklist before each production run outlining everything needed for success—materials, resources, equipment, timelines, and quality standards.
Verify progress against that checklist while production is in motion to ensure nothing is missed, falling behind, or off track.
Identify bottlenecks and improve processes to increase efficiency and throughput.
Report on production status, resource levels, and project forecasts to leadership.

What We’re Looking For

Please apply only if you meet these requirements:

3+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations (physical goods, not software).
Proven ability to think multiple steps ahead—you’ve managed pipelines where keeping production flowing without gaps was your responsibility.
Track record of managing production schedules and delivering on time across multiple concurrent projects.
Strong forecasting skills—you can look at current workload and upcoming projects and map out realistic timelines, resource needs, and potential conflicts.
Experience tracking materials, inventory, and resources across multiple projects simultaneously.
Clear, direct communication at every level, from the floor to leadership.
Analytical mindset—you see both the big picture and the small details.

Nice to Have

Experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management, or production scheduling software.
Must have a knowledge of AI programs (Claude to be specific)
Background in process improvement (lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
Experience building or managing material tracking systems, spreadsheets, or dashboards.
Familiarity with sports trading cards or collectibles industry.
