Full Job Description

Company Overview
The Cardio Metabolic Institute is a specialized healthcare practice dedicated to addressing cardiovascular and metabolic health issues. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that promotes long-term wellness and disease management.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Location: Somerset, Edison and Monroe locations

Experience Level: Entry-level to Experienced

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. CMI was the first practice to introduce the Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab program in NJ.

Core Responsibilities

1. Clinical Counseling & Medicare Programs

Provide one-on-one Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and obesity counseling

2. Culinary Medicine & Workshops

Lead Pritikin-style cooking classes and workshops, demonstrating heart-healthy, plant-forward meal preparation techniques. (will train)

3. Diabetes Technology & Remote Monitoring

Collaborate with the clinical team on Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).
Analyze blood glucose data from Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) devices to provide real-time feedback and lifestyle adjustments to patients.

4. Program Development

Take a lead role in the launch and facilitation of the CDC-recognized Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP).
Develop curriculum materials and track patient outcomes to ensure program success.

Required Qualifications

Credentialed: Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Licensure: Must hold (or be eligible for) state licensure in [Insert State].
Communication: Exceptional public speaking skills and the ability to use Motivational Interviewing to drive patient behavioral change.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and interpreting data from wearable health tech (CGMs).
Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset; you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
