In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimize the patient experience. Your expertise in medical office management and financial oversight will help create a smooth-running, patient-centered practice that thrives on efficiency and quality care. Responsibilities

Lead the overall management of the dental practice, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow optimization to ensure high-quality patient care.
Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and expense control to maintain practice profitability.
Supervise medical administrative support functions, including medical records management, appointment scheduling, and patient intake procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Open Dental.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards by implementing policies for patient privacy and data security.
Manage human resources activities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to foster a motivated team environment.
Coordinate with clinical staff to support nursing and medical management functions within the dental practice.
Maintain excellent clinic operations by overseeing inventory management, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
Implement quality assurance protocols aligned with JCAHO standards and other accreditation requirements to uphold clinical excellence.
Facilitate communication between team members, patients, insurance providers, managed care organizations, and vendors to streamline operations.
Utilize practice management software like Adit for scheduling, billing, and reporting purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with a strong background in medical office administration.
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Open Dental is essential.
Solid understanding of fiscal management principles including budgeting, financial management, and revenue cycle processes.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records handling, and compliance standards like JCAHO is required.
Experience managing dental clinic operations or similar healthcare environments with strong organizational skills.
Ability to navigate managed care processes and utilization management protocols effectively.
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
