Full Job Description

Position Summary

Nefertiti Hair Salon is looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist / Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our clients. This person will welcome customers, help manage the flow of the salon, communicate with stylists, support client satisfaction, and assist with daily front-desk and store operations.

The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy salon environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet every customer warmly as they enter the salon.
Ask customers about the style or service they are interested in.
Provide the customer with the salon price card and answer basic pricing questions.
Seat customers in the waiting area or direct them to the appropriate stylist.
Inform the stylist clearly about the customer’s requested style, expectations, and any special instructions.
Help maintain a smooth and organized customer flow throughout the salon.

Customer Service During Appointments

Check on customers while they are being serviced.
Ask if they are comfortable and satisfied with the progress of their style.
Communicate any customer concerns or requests to the stylist or manager.
Help ensure every client feels welcomed, respected, and cared for during their visit.

After-Service Care & Checkout

Confirm that the customer is satisfied with the final style before they leave.
Process payments accurately and professionally.
Thank customers for visiting and encourage them to return.
Assist with rebooking or providing information about future services when needed.
Help resolve minor customer concerns or escalate them to management when necessary.

Phone & Appointment Management

Answer phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
Provide information about services, pricing, hours, and availability.
Schedule, confirm, or update appointments as needed.
Take clear messages and relay them to the correct person.
Manage customer inquiries through phone, text, or other salon communication channels if applicable.

Storekeeping & Salon Support

Keep the front desk, waiting area, and retail/display areas clean and organized.
Ensure price cards, business cards, flyers, and customer-facing materials are available.
Support the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of the salon.
Assist stylists and management with daily operational needs.

Inventory Management

Monitor salon supplies, products, and retail inventory.
Notify management when items are running low.
Help organize stock areas and keep inventory records updated.
Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing products when needed.

Qualifications

Previous customer service, receptionist, salon, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
Strong communication and people skills.
Friendly, patient, and professional attitude.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer, phone, and payment-processing skills.
Must be reliable, punctual, and well-organized.
Interest in beauty, hair care, or salon services is a plus.
