Full Job Description

The Shop Beer Co. is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated Inventory & Logistics Manager to oversee inventory, purchasing, and product movement across our brewery and warehouse locations. This position will serve as the primary owner of inventory accuracy and logistics coordination while working closely with our production, packaging, and warehouse teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive. This person should be able to recognize what needs to be done, establish priorities, solve problems, and follow tasks through to completion without requiring frequent direction or micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage inventory across brewery, production, packaging, and warehouse locations
Enter, maintain, and reconcile inventory transactions in Ekos
Coordinate and document inventory transfers between facilities
Update brew and production records in Ekos to reflect changes made during batching, brewing, blending, and packaging
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients, packaging materials, and other production supplies
Work closely with the packaging team to ensure cans, trays, cartons, labels, and other materials are available when needed
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight and optimize shipment timing, carriers, and costs
Schedule and coordinate deliveries and warehouse transfers
Perform regular physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
Maintain accurate supporting documentation for purchases, receipts, transfers, production, and inventory adjustments
Review inventory data for errors or inconsistencies and coordinate with the appropriate team members to resolve them
Develop and maintain inventory reports and tracking tools using Microsoft Excel
Travel between company facilities as needed
Help improve inventory controls, reporting, and operational processes as the company grows

Qualifications

Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, production, or a related role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with formulas, spreadsheets, and large sets of operational data
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow through without frequent supervision
Comfortable learning and working with inventory management systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with production, packaging, warehouse, and leadership teams
Willingness and ability to travel between company facilities
Brewery, beverage, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred but not required
Experience with Ekos brewery management software is a plus but not required; training will be provided

What Success Looks Like

Inventory records are timely, accurate, and supported by proper documentation
Materials are available when production and packaging teams need them
Transfers between facilities are properly coordinated and recorded
Freight and delivery costs are actively managed
Inventory discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
Operational teams can rely on the information in Ekos and inventory reports for decision-making
The employee takes initiative, anticipates needs, manages priorities, and follows through without requiring micromanagement

This is a hands-on role combining inventory management, purchasing, logistics, systems management, and cross-functional coordination. Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
