Arizona (Remote / Hybrid)

This Is a Specialized Advisory Role

Axia is looking for two licensed professionals who want to build expertise in helping clients understand the financial risks that can follow an unexpected health event.

This is not about attaching another policy to an enrollment.

It is about learning how to create value in an area many agents and agencies overlook.

Ancillary benefits should not be treated as an afterthought. They require thoughtful discovery, clear education, and an understanding of how health-related events can affect a client financially.

What This Role Actually Is

This is an independent 1099 Ancillary Benefits Specialist role.

Your primary focus will be helping clients understand benefits designed to provide financial support following events such as:

hospitalization

cancer diagnosis or treatment

heart attack or stroke

recovery and care at home

other unexpected health-related expenses

Our approach is education-first.

You will be expected to help clients understand:

where financial exposure may exist

what expenses may follow an unexpected health event

how ancillary benefits are designed to work

when added protection may make sense

when it may not be necessary

The goal is not to enroll every client.

The goal is to help clients understand the risk, evaluate their options, and make informed decisions.

Who This Role Is For

This role is a strong fit if you:

already hold an active Arizona health insurance license

want to specialize in an overlooked area of insurance

are comfortable leading with education rather than pressure

want to strengthen your client discovery and consultation skills

can explain benefits in clear, practical language

are comfortable discussing health events and financial concerns

value compliance, documentation, and professional responsibility

are willing to follow a structured process

want to build meaningful, long-term client relationships

understand that credibility and broader opportunities are earned over time

Previous ancillary benefits experience is helpful, but not required.

An active life insurance license is preferred, but not required.

For the right professional, strong performance in this track may create opportunities to expand into additional areas of the agency over time.

That expansion is not automatic or guaranteed.

Access to additional contracts, responsibilities, or service lines is earned through:

consistent activity

ethical recommendations

accurate documentation

reliable follow-through

strong client care

professional judgment

alignment with Axia’s standards

We are not looking for someone who sees this role only as a temporary step toward another contract or area of insurance.

We are looking for someone who sees real value in becoming skilled in this area first.

Licensing & Professional Standards

This role requires:

an active Arizona health insurance license

completion of required carrier contracting and training

maintenance of all licensing and compliance requirements

accurate documentation of client conversations

adherence to carrier, state, and agency standards

An active life insurance license is preferred because some benefit options may require it, but it is not required to be considered.

Candidates must be comfortable working within defined processes, even when those processes slow down a sale or result in no recommendation being made.

Compensation & Work Structure

This is a:

1099 independent contractor opportunity

commission-based position

flexible remote or hybrid role

performance-driven opportunity with no guaranteed income

The posted compensation range reflects possible annual earnings and is not a salary or guarantee.

Income will depend on individual activity, production, persistency, client retention, and the ability to build referral relationships.
