Full Job Description

Premier Design Build Remodel is an established high-end residential design-build remodeling firm serving Scottsdale and the East Valley since 1994.

We specialize in luxury kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, whole-home remodeling, room additions, and custom residential renovation projects. Our team operates from professional showroom locations in Mesa and Scottsdale and is built around craftsmanship, communication, organization, and accountability.

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our field operations team.

This is not an entry-level position.

We are looking for a seasoned residential remodeling professional who can confidently lead day-to-day field execution while working alongside a dedicated Project Manager and professional office support team.

About the Role

This position serves as the lead production carpenter on residential remodeling projects.

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive daily jobsite productivity through skilled hands-on carpentry, organization, problem-solving, and field leadership. This is a working lead position, not a supervisory-only role.

The right candidate is someone who can step onto a project, take ownership of the day-to-day field execution, and keep the project moving efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and professionalism.

You will perform and lead skilled remodeling work including cabinet installation, finish carpentry, framing, punch work, and general residential remodeling tasks while coordinating effectively with trade partners and the assigned Project Manager.

Strong communication skills are important, but this role is fundamentally centered around production, execution, efficiency, and getting quality work completed at a high level.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

10+ years of recent full-time residential remodeling experience
Extensive experience in luxury kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling
Strong finish carpentry and cabinet installation skills
Experience with trim work, light framing, punch work, and general remodeling
Ability to read plans, scopes, specifications, and installation documents
Ability to coordinate and sequence trades effectively
Professional communication skills with clients and trade partners
Valid driver’s license with reliable insured vehicle
Ownership of the majority of professional hand and power tools required for the role

Preferred Qualifications

Plumbing knowledge related to kitchen and bath remodeling
Experience leading projects and supervising field activity
Familiarity with schedules, quality control, and jobsite organization
Strong understanding of residential remodeling practices and applicable building codes
