Full Job Description

We are a busy Allergy Asthma & Immunology practice looking for a full-time experienced Insurance Verification Coordinator at our Gilbert office. This position is full time Monday through Friday.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtain patient's insurance information
Verify insurance benefits and eligibility online and by telephone
Re-verify existing patient's coverage as needed
Reconcile eligibility/insurance coverage discrepancies
Identify and resolve problems with client eligibility/insurance coverage
Provide excellent customer service to patients and external clients
Serve as back up for front desk check in and check out

Qualifications:

Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Excellent organizational skills while prioritizing daily duties and schedules
Ability to multi-task
Must be comfortable explaining payments expected to be collected at time of patient visit
Initiative to get the job done while working alone or in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure, and remain flexible to schedule changes
Apply common sense, understanding, and problem solving to daily duties

2+ years of recent insurance verification or authorizations experience required
Must have knowledge of primary and secondary insurance plans
EHR knowledge required; Greenway Intergy a plus
High School diploma or GED required
