Are you a passionate culinary professional who loves leading a team and creating memorable

dining experiences? Join our team and play an important role in the success of an award winning, premier full-service hotel in downtown Knoxville. We are looking for an organized, creative, and motivated culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service.

As our Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen

operations, lead and develop our culinary team, and ensure every dish meets the highest

standards for quality, presentation, and consistency. This is a great opportunity for a culinary

professional who is ready to grow their leadership skills and make a meaningful impact on our

guests and team.

What You’ll Do:

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
Lead, coach, and motivate the culinary team to deliver exceptional food and service.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance.
Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls.
Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and creative culinary offerings.
Work closely with banquet, restaurant, and hotel teams to execute successful events and dining experiences.
Help train and develop culinary team members while fostering a positive and
collaborative work environment.
Step into a leadership role and oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while upholding hotel standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a culinary leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
A creative and passionate approach to food and hospitality.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A team player who takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
