Full Job Description

Nissin Precision North America is a metal stamping and welded assembly facility located in Englewood, Ohio.

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing internal die tooling, production fixtures and gages, and other specialized equipment and/or machines necessary to meet customer requirements using various 2D and 3D CAD software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES

Designs, details, and checks die tooling prints for current design level. Initiates design review meetings. Ensures that all Die Tooling drawings, Die Detailed drawings, Equipment drawings, and other items necessary to complete the tooling prior to Mass Production are completed, reviewed, and approved in a timely and cost effective manner.

Identifies necessary resources and project personnel for specific phases or aspects of project (e.g.: technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing) in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff.
Reviews tooling designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contractual requirements, and other related specifications.
Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Coordinates and oversees technical activities and equipment integration.
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases (ECNs).
Controls project expenditures within limitations of project budget.
Prepares, monitors, and completes project reports and project timelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1+ years experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. General understanding of GD&T tolerance principles.
