Overview
Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Working in a home setting assisted living facility, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring residents or clients receive the highest quality of care with dignity and compassion. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while positively impacting lives every day.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence
Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe changes in condition and report findings promptly
Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning personal spaces and common areas
Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and assist in developing or updating personalized care plans

Qualifications

Previous experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred; experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, or memory care is highly valued
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are advantageous; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held
Ability to work with diverse populations including seniors
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility; ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength safely
Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, residents, families, and other caregivers
Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to safety and patient care standards
