That reputation didn't happen by accident, and the people behind the scenes are just as important as the ones in the field.

We're growing, and we're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Staff Accountant to help keep our financial operations running as smoothly as the systems we service.

The Role

This is a hands-on position at the center of our day-to-day financial operations. You'll own the AR/AP cycle, keep our books clean, and work closely with our service coordinators, technicians, and customer service team to make sure every invoice, payment, and vendor transaction is accurate and accounted for. What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable

Monitor AR aging, research discrepancies, and resolve unposted payments quickly
Partner with customer service to follow up on past-due invoices and coordinate collections
Handle billing adjustments, credits, and write-offs with proper management approval
Communicate professionally with customers on invoice disputes and payment arrangements
Track payment commitments and escalate delinquent accounts as needed

Accounts Payable

Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
Match purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor statements
Prepare and execute scheduled payments and maintain AP aging schedules

Purchase Orders & Compliance

Audit POs against invoices and receiving reports to confirm accuracy
Identify and escalate variances or exceptions promptly
Maintain complete PO documentation and ensure proper approvals are on file

General Accounting

Assist with monthly revenue recognition procedures
Liaise with field technicians and service coordinators to clarify billing questions

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a service, construction, or trade environment
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Dynamics GP) and Excel
Solid understanding of AR/AP processes, PO systems, and revenue recognition
Sharp attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
A communicator who can hold their own with vendors, customers, and field teams alike

Even Better If You Have

Experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical services, or construction
Familiarity with ERP systems and purchase order lifecycle management
Knowledge of trade industry billing practices
Certified Bookkeeper (CB) credential or actively pursuing CPA designation
