Overview
Join our vibrant café team as a Barista Cashier, where you’ll be the friendly face that creates memorable experiences for our customers. In this dynamic role, you’ll craft delicious coffee beverages, handle cash transactions with precision, and deliver exceptional customer service that keeps guests coming back. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, making every visit enjoyable and efficient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with attention to quality and presentation
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and food handling procedures
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling and sanitation practices

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS, etc. is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
