Full Job Description

Pike County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) is looking to hire an RN to join our dedicated team of healthcare providers working in the Emergency Department. This is a full-time night shift position. This position offers a $15k sign-on bonus with a two(2) year commitment. Pike County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) is an award-winning Critical Access Hospital, a stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located on the beautiful Mississippi River in historic Louisiana, Missouri, focusing on personalized care. Our 25-inpatient bed facility is a Medicare 4-star rated and is ranked in the top 20% nationally for Patient Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. We are proud to extend the mission of PCMH by putting people first with excellent, personalized, and compassionate healthcare. Our deep community roots date to 1927 when the hospital first opened. PCMH operates four rural medical clinics, employing approximately 225 employees and 25 multi-specialty providers on staff.

We offer a wide range of services, including orthopedics and sports medicine, cardiology, emergency service, ambulatory surgery, infusion center, laboratory, diagnostic x-ray, CT scanning, and MRI. Additional services include cardiopulmonary, nuclear medicine, wound clinic, and a full range of rehab services with physical, speech, and occupational therapy. We have all the best qualities of working in a large hospital without all the hassle of driving to the city and working in a corporate environment.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary focus of the RN is to be a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients in the emergency department. The RN collaborates with other care workers including PCMH’s ambulance crews (EMT-B/Paramedics) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum. RN can assume the role of resource nurse in the absence of the Charge RN, as assigned. The emergency department RN will utilize critical thinking skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to all patients assigned during the shift.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Active RN Registered Nurse license in the state

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Six months of RN experience preferred
