Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will utilize your extensive nursing expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
Administer medications and injections accurately, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, wound suturing, and ventilator management.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information thoroughly and efficiently.
Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, trauma medicine, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology, geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health.
Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for patients with chronic conditions or disabilities.
Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical imaging support when needed.
Support infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Assist with patient education on health coaching, nutrition, medication management, and post-discharge care plans.

Qualifications

Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements.
Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or long-term care facilities.
Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or trauma center exposure (Level I or II Trauma Center experience).
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and documentation.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly valued.
Ability to perform advanced procedures such as tube feeding management, spinal taps, sonography support, ostomy care, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), and sterile processing techniques.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient education.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications like ACLS or PALS are a plus.
