Full Job Description

We are a growing engineering consulting firm based seeking a highly analytical Accounting Manager/Controller to partner with our project managers and executive team, ensuring the financial precision that drives our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes, as well as the preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
Audit & Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax strategy and coordinate directly with external accountants for yearly financial audits.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement enhancements to our billing and internal financial controls to scale with our regional growth.
Prepares, reviews, and interprets data for inclusion in financial reports, statements, and summaries.
Analyzes and maintains all accounts receivable accounts, refund accounts, and deposit accounts.
Monthly financial statements to include consolidation of multiple entities
Balance sheet reconciliations
Reconcile and explain variances to monthly revenues projections by each branch
Prepare monthly commission reports
Fixed Assets and capital expenditure tracking
Weekly cash flow reporting; reviewing daily bank reconciliation
Oversee the annual insurance audits
Daily cash management and reconciliation
AR collections
Monitor AR and file liens as appropriate

Qualifications

Certification: Active CPA license is required.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in US GAAP, Microsoft Excel, and Quickbooks).
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders and engineers.
