1. Job Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end logistics function across Micronova Manufacturing's Lewisville, TX and Torrance, CA facilities. This role oversees the global inbound movement of raw materials, outbound distribution of finished goods, inter-facility logistics, and third-party irradiation (IR) processing to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations. Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Planning, and external logistics partners, the Logistics Manager drives continuous improvement in shipping, receiving, freight management, customs compliance, and on-time delivery while developing standardized logistics processes that support the company's growth and operational objectives.
2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
· Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
· Oversee day-to-day logistics operations for the Lewisville, TX and Torrance, CA manufacturing facilities, including shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and inter-facility material movement.
· Manage domestic and international inbound shipments of raw materials, components, and packaging to support production requirements.
· Coordinate domestic and international outbound shipments of finished goods to customers, distributors, and other business partners.
· Manage relationships with transportation providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers to support efficient transportation and logistics operations.
· Manage transportation across ocean, air, ground, parcel, LTL, and FTL shipments while supporting customs and trade compliance requirements, including import and export documentation.
· Monitor shipment activity, identify transportation issues, and coordinate resolution of delays, damages, customs holds, and other logistics exceptions.
· Oversee logistics activities associated with third-party irradiation (IR) processing, including shipment scheduling, product transfers, documentation, and inventory movement.
· Maintain shipment traceability, chain-of-custody records, and related documentation in accordance with quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
· Plan and coordinate transfers of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between manufacturing facilities as business needs require.
· Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
· Maintain accurate inventory transactions, shipping records, and logistics data within the company's ERP and related systems.
· Analyze logistics performance metrics, freight costs, transportation trends, and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics, warehousing, transportation, inventory movement, and trade compliance.
· Assist with carrier selection, freight negotiations, logistics budgeting, and transportation cost management.
· Lead, coach, and support logistics personnel while promoting safe work practices, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
· Provide functional guidance and coordination to logistics operations across multiple manufacturing locations.
· Prepare reports, communicate logistics performance, and provide updates regarding operational issues, risks, and improvement initiatives to management.
· Comply with all applicable company policies, safety procedures, and federal, state, local, and international transportation and trade regulations.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.

3. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Seven (7) years of progressive logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing domestic and international inbound and outbound logistics across multiple transportation modes.
- Experience coordinating logistics operations across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 or comparable quality management system.
- Experience using ERP systems and logistics management software.
Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, customs documentation, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and INCOTERMS.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver's license, if required for travel between company locations.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, semiconductor, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience coordinating third-party sterilization or gamma irradiation logistics.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and product traceability requirements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS CSCP, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, HazMat, or DOT certifications.
4. Working Conditions
· Work Environment: Full-time, on-site position based at the Lewisville, TX manufacturing facility with regular work in office, warehouse, shipping/receiving, and production environments.
· Noise Level: Moderate to high noise levels may be encountered in warehouse and production areas. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
· Travel Requirements: Periodic travel to the Torrance, CA manufacturing facility, third-party irradiation partners, suppliers, and other business locations as needed.
· Use of Equipment: Regular use of computers, ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, office equipment, handheld scanners, and standard warehouse and shipping equipment as required.
5. Physical and Ergonomic Requirements
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office, warehouse, and production environments for extended periods.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including frocks, hoods, masks, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment, as required.
· Ability to visually inspect shipping labels, inventory documentation, customs forms, and electronic records.
· Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, keyboard, handheld devices, and standard office equipment.
· Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
