Position Summary
Controller to process and review all financial, month end financial statements, payroll, check runs and ad hoc reporting. Your analysis will be utilized by the leadership team for the decision-making processes.
Qualified candidates will have advanced skills in analyzing data, math, spreadsheets and be able to communicate effectively with management, various departments, and other stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is ready to work in a growing team environment, 100% employee-owned ESOP company in Central Wisconsin.
The Role Will Focus Heavily On
- Member of Roberts Irrigation leadership team.
- Owning the full month-end and year-end close process, financial reporting, audit preparation, and yearly budgeting and AOP strategy.
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to help guide business decisions.
- Overseeing cash flow, invoicing, payroll reporting, and credit/collections processes.
- Providing oversight of capital expenditures and helping prioritize investments.
- Leading A/R and A/P functions and ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.
- Supports risk management initiatives and strengthening financial processes.
- Preparing weekly, monthly, and annual reporting for leadership.
- Purchasing and Inventory Control leader.
- Information Technology leader, organizational IT support through 3rd party supplier, lead ERP optimization.
- Manage and mentor a team of 4 team members.
- Support other team members and be an extension of the HR function in the organization when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements, contributing to transparent and sound financial practices.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Process/oversight of payroll, AP, AR and other general accounting duties.
- Prepare and compile monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card deposits.
- File sales tax returns.
- Work with tax accountants on tax returns and provide backup documentation.
- Assist with insurance renewals and maintaining licenses.
- Provides timely and accurate reporting to the Board and Management.
- Budget Coordination: Collaborate in the budgeting process, including forecasting, and helping manage financial goals and expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations, maintaining company integrity.
- Team Collaboration: Engage with various departments to support cross-functional alignment, promoting a cohesive work environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally with experience in agriculture, construction, or a related industry.
- Proven record of leading organizations through growth, operational efficiency, and financial success.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in capital planning and business scaling.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills (Open Communication).
- Experience with risk management and audit preparation.
