Job Description: MK Place is an inpatient substance use treatment facility for teens. We are one of the children's residential care facilities within the Bannock Youth Foundation. The Bannock Youth Foundation is a well established non-profit organization that has provided support and education for Idaho youth and families for over 40 years. Direct care workers are one of the most important positions within our organization as they spend the most time with the youth in our care. If you are looking for a job or career where you will truly make a difference this is a great place to start!

The primary responsibilities of a Youth Supervisor/direct care staff in our facility are to be a mentor that ensures safety and stability for teens as they work toward learning how to lead a sober healthy lifestyle in collaboration with licensed clinicians and social service professionals.

You will be responsible for providing around the clock supervision, cooking, basic cleaning, participating in sober fun and recreational activities, documenting behaviors, and enforcing the rules of the facility. In doing so you will help provide for the physical and emotional needs of each youth through individual behavioral, social, physical, and educational skill development.

You will receive extensive training that will not only help you complete job tasks but that may also benefit you in your personal life and take with you to future jobs. Trainings include but are not limited to, trauma informed care, de-escalation skills, CPR/First aid, medication administration, child development, behavior management, communication, abnormal psychology, and various topics related to substance use disorders.

Requirements- these are non-negotiable:

20 years of age or older

High school graduate or GED

Valid Driver's License

Ability to pass an enhanced criminal history background check
