Full Job Description

We are a service level 4G Regional Center vendored group home for male clients age 12 and up with maladaptive behaviors and a dual diagnosis of mental health disorders and developmental delays.

Looking for experienced DSP:

- Experienced DSP to work Sat & Sun (12p - 8p) Mon & Tue (2pm - 10pm) **Additional hours available!!**

- Experienced DSP to work mornings Mon - Fri (6a - 9a) **Additional hours available!!**

Must be willing to work holidays as needed. Must have recent experience working with Regional Center placed children.

Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 12 months prior experience providing direct supervision and special services as a direct care staff with Regional Center clients. All direct care staff must complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education within each 12 month period following the assumption of the duties of direct care staff. Must successfully complete the Direct Support Professional competency-based training. Must be in good health and be physically, mentally and occupationally capable of performing assigned task.

The following criteria must be met:

Must be eighteen
Have/obtain medical health clearance.
Provide negative test results for TB and COVID-19 within one week of starting date. (Must be fully vaccinated against COVID or in the process of getting fully vaccinated w/ proof)
Have fingerprint clearance through Community Care Licensing
Possess a valid California driver’s license
CPR and First Aid Certifications
High School Diploma required

CPI certified is a plus!

Duties:

Provide direct care and supervision at all times
Uphold assigned special services responsibilities
Be familiar with each consumer’s positive support plan and IPP
Be familiar with the facility’s program design
Promote and advocate for consumer’s rights
Know emergency procedures
Demonstrate understanding of reporting consumer abuse and reporting Special Incidents
Maintain Continuing education and In-Service requirements
Participate in the Planning Team process
Maintain Best Practice
Demonstrate understanding of Positive Support Principles
Assist clients with positive redirection for behaviors
Aid clients in handling individual problems
Maintain assigned documentation responsibilities
Practice assisting with medication according to facility procedure
Maintain Professional Ethics
Know and abide by Title 17 & 22

Additional duties may vary based on the needed level of care level of care for the client.'
