Full Job Description

Machinist responsible for running one or more CNC machines, executing offsets and tool changes, troubleshooting machine issues with team members, and performing quality checks and adjustments in order to produce high quality parts in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mill processes.
Write, comprehend, and adjust CNC mill programs (FANUC, HAAS) G-Code.
Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, overall tooling selection and evaluation.
Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, make appropriate adjustments.
Responsible to keep machines and work area clean and orderly.
Ability manage their workload based on work order dates
Excellent communication skills with supervisor and quality team.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Program 2D & 3D programs with Mastercam a plus
Retrieve files on PC
Operate a variety of equipment types such as Bridgeport milling machines, manual lathe, drill presses, saws, CNC, etc a plus.
Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, depth gauges, bore gauges, height gauges, etc. to accurately check and inspect machined components.
Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures.
Must have minimum of 5 years of experience machining weldment and Billet prototype parts.
Confers with engineers, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, & drug screen.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Overtime and some weekend hours should be expected.
