Substitute Teachers and Teacher Assistants - Poplar Bluff School District

Substitute teachers are essential to ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher or relief teacher.

Substituting is rewarding. We would love for you to join our team. Minimum

Requirements:

18+ years of age
HS diploma
State Required Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate - 36 college credit hours or high school diploma and completion of substitute training course - Must apply and receive Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate
Kelly offers the substitute Pathways Substitute Training course for candidates without the 36 college credit hours Missouri Substitute Certification Process

Payrates/position:

Substitute Teacher - $120.00/daily rate

Substitute Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant/Clerical - $15.00/hourly rate

Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
Build a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students
For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
