About WassermanUlitsky Dermatology

WassermanUlitsky Dermatology is an award-winning, physician-led practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care across general, surgical, Mohs, and cosmetic dermatology. Proudly serving Nokomis, Florida, and the surrounding communities, our team provides comprehensive dermatologic care in a newly opened, state-of-the-art 11,000-square-foot facility.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to serve as the primary on-site operational leader of our growing dermatology practice. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance of clinical operations, patient services, revenue cycle, administrative functions, and team development.

The ideal candidate is an engaged, solutions-oriented leader who is equally comfortable working alongside the team, coaching employees, addressing challenges in real time, and driving broader operational improvements. This individual will establish clear expectations, reinforce accountability, develop strong teams, and create the structure and consistency necessary to support an exceptional patient and employee experience.

Working closely with providers and organizational leadership, the Practice Manager will translate strategic priorities into effective day-to-day operations while continually evaluating performance and identifying opportunities to strengthen the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of daily operations across clinical, patient service, administrative, and revenue cycle functions.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the practice, proactively identifying and resolving operational, staffing, workflow, and patient service challenges.
Lead, coach, and develop team members while establishing clear expectations and reinforcing individual and team accountability.
Partner with providers and organizational leadership to align day-to-day operations with the clinical, financial, and strategic goals of the practice.
Evaluate staffing, scheduling, workflows, patient flow, and resource utilization to improve efficiency and ensure appropriate coverage.
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and best practices that promote consistency, compliance, and scalability.
Monitor key performance indicators and operational trends, identify areas requiring attention, and lead actionable improvements.
Oversee employee onboarding, training, performance management, and ongoing development in partnership with organizational leadership.
Promote a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, healthcare management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of medical practice management or healthcare operations experience within dermatology required.
Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Proven experience improving operational processes, developing and implementing SOPs, and creating sustainable workflow efficiencies.
Experience overseeing multiple functional areas within a medical practice strongly preferred.

Ability to establish clear expectations, hold teams accountable, and navigate employee and operational challenges with professionalism and sound judgment.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and successfully implement solutions.
Ability to manage multiple departments and competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
High degree of accountability, initiative, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with providers, employees, patients, vendors, and organizational leadership.
Proficiency with healthcare EMR/practice management systems; Nextech experience preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on practice needs, including daytime hours, evenings until 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays.
