Full Job Description

About the Role

As a Precision CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations by programming, setting up, and operating advanced machinery to produce high-tolerance components. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and ensuring that our production output meets the highest standards of quality and precision for critical applications.

Responsibilities

Configure and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, selecting optimal tooling and fixtures to maximize production efficiency.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints and CNC programs to make necessary adjustments, including tool offsets, to maintain part integrity.
Conduct rigorous first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments and automated CMM equipment.
Maintain accurate production records, including scorecards and quality documentation, to ensure full compliance with operational standards.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance machining productivity and part quality.
Support the team by performing secondary operations and providing technical guidance to colleagues to foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills

High School diploma, GED, or completion of a recognized trade school apprenticeship.
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in CNC set-up and operation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
Must meet U.S. export control requirements, including citizenship or legal permanent resident status.

Preferred Skills

Demonstrated experience with 3-axis or multi-axis machining centers.
Background in precision machining within the aerospace or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, including AQL levels and advanced inspection techniques.
